Out latest road trip has been to Red Lodge Montana and Glacier National Park. We drove from our home in Northern Colorado, towing our camping trailer. Our first stay was in Red Lodge at a small but nice KOA. The bathrooms were very nice and very clean! I would definitely recommend it. While in Red Lodge we explored Beartooth Scenic Highway. It is stunning! We had some cloudy weather and some smoke from wildfires but still a remarkable drive! We also went into the Northwest corner of Yellowstone to look for wildlife. And we found some. Moose, bison, elk, and for the first time, wolves! The wolves were a great distance away and seen through a spotting scope but in 3 visits this was the first time we had seen them. If you go to Yellowstone and have the time, drive the Beartooth Highway from Cooke City Mt. to Red Lodge Mt.
Next blog post, Day 1 in Glacier.
